The SAOU is excited to invite teachers, and other interested individuals, to enrol in the self-directed Online Assessment Accommodation Course.
This course is offered in English only, is accredited by SACE, and has been submitted to the provincial education departments for approval.
Who should enrol?
This course is ideal for teachers and education stakeholders who wish to support learners with assessment accommodations. Upon completion, participants will be qualified to act as a Reader, Scribe (Writer), and Assessment Accommodation (AA) Provider up to Grade 11.
In many provinces where official departmental training is infrequent or unavailable, this course is also accepted for those supporting learners in Grade 12. However, in provinces such as Gauteng and the Western Cape, where departmental training occurs regularly, teachers may be required to complete the official provincial course to provide AA support at Grade 12 level.
