LEGAL SERVICES
FUNCTION
The main function of Legal Services is to provide legal advice, empowerment, training and representation to the SAOU and its members with regard to labour relations. This includes disciplinary hearings, disputes and negotiations.
PROCEDURE FOR ACQUIRING OUR SERVICES
Services are acquired through referral.
All queries, disciplinary matters and disputes should firstly be reported to the relevant provincial SAOU office.
When a matter cannot be dealt with at provincial level, legal services will be contacted for further assistance.
Members are, however, welcome to make urgent legal enquiries with the legal service.
