    Purpose of the position

    To provide a comprehensive marketing and communication service to SAOU members in consultation with the Executive Officer of SAOU.

    Minimum educational qualifications

    Diploma or degree in Communication, Marketing, or relevant field


    Minimum applicable work experience

    • At least 7 years of experience in marketing and communication
    • At least 3 years of driving experience
    • Proven track record in strategic communications and digital marketing

    Further qualifications and experience

    • In-depth knowledge and insight into relevant national and provincial education policy and legislation
    • Proven presentation skills
    • Experience in project financial management
    • Experience in research methodology
    • Trade union and education experience is advantageous

    Minimum relevant work experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

    • Experience in the financing and the South African school structure
